Diary Post: Half Way There, Changed Plans, and Concerts

This week has been a tough week for me, but it marks the half way mark of my trip here to Japan.

I had 3 midterms this week: Japanese Oral and Written, as well as Global Business Teams.

I also had a presentation on Monday for my Intercultural Communications class. It was about American Friendships and Relationships. I thought I did very well! I have gotten used to doing presentations since High School and I am finally able to do it with confidence!

Now that all of that is all over, I can officially say I am half way through my time here in Japan. Its surreal in a way. Time has flown by so fast and I don’t want it to stop. I want to return here so bad after I graduate and find my way. I still have no idea what I want to do in life, but I know that it has to do with Japan.

On another note, my parents told me that they are not able to visit me next week. My family is finally starting to pick up business again, so they are not able to come when they said they were. Instead, they said they will come at the end of the semester, in December. That is originally when I wanted them to come anyway. With that, my sister might be able to come too! I am really happy because I wanted my whole family (My sister and my parents) to come and visit me originally. Hopefully things will turn out well and my sister will be okay with coming to see Kanjani8 with me! She isn’t a fan at all, but I think she might enjoy it! I am willing to give her another chance at trying to understand what I like, now that she has matured a bit.

The reason I say this is that in Summer 2010, when Jin Akanishi came to America for the first time, my birthday present was to go and see him in LA live. I was so happy, even though I as not a fan of Jin Akanishi! The way it turned out, I ended up getting 4 tickets, 2 for the first day and 2 for the second day, first show. She went with me to the first show and she sat down the whole time texting. Her reason being that she couldn’t understand him. I still haven’t gotten over how rude she was back then, but I hope that she will be better this time. If she doesn’t want to go, I will go with my good friend from Tokyo. She actually likes them a bit and doesnt’ mind coming to the concert with me. After all, she was the one that took me to my first Kanjani8 concert!

So as you may have gathered from above, I will be going to see Kanjani8 in Tokyo Dome on December 18th. Before that though, I will be seeing Tegomassu in Kobe on December 10th and 11th! I can’t wait! The Tegomassu goods are so cute! I am getting everything because it is so cute! I am not even kidding. Tegomassu did such a good job with the theme this time! Only those two would be able to pull off something like that! That is why I am their fan! They are so different and they are not afraid to show it!

As for Kanjani8, I am really looking forward to their tour goods too! I really hope that they will be baseball themed because of the 5 Dome tour theme. I really want a baseball jersey, signed baseball, and other baseball related goods! I am not a baseball fan at all, but I would totally buy it! I love the idea!

Anyway, that is all from me!

Peace out and Much Love!

Lauren
