Last night was Best Artist 2011! This year’s Johnnys line up was: Arashi, Kanjani8, Hey! Say! JUMP, Tacky and Tsubasa, and TOKIO. Me and my friend Meghan were having so much fun watching the performances! My favorite ones were Arashi, KAT-TUN, and Kanjani8!
Runner up would have to be Hey! Say! JUMP. I say that because HSJ, I think, is very coordinated with their dancing and I think one of the best groups for dancing. They performed their medley of their most popular songs along with OVER. I am rather glad they didn’t perform Magic Power. It wouldn’t have gone with the rest of the songs they sang in my opinion.
Kanjani8, my favorite Johnnys group, was amazing! They performed Monjai Beat and Musekinin Hero. They wore their FIGHT jerseys and there were lots of Eight X Eighter tour penlights in the crowd! I was so surprised! They were so lively and I loved their energy. I love when they perform Monjai Beat on TV! They all looked amazing as always. I especially love Yoko’s new perm and I think YokoHina suit perms.
Arashi had a AMAZING performance! They were the last artist to perform. I am not a big Arashi fan, but I loved all the songs that they performed. They started with Monster, did Love Rainbow and then Meikyuu Love song. Arashi never fails to impress me! I was particularly excited for Monster and Meikyuu Love Song, because Monster is one of my favorite Arashi songs and I have been really into Meikyuu Love Song lately since I have been watching “Nazu toki wa Dinner no ato de”, the drama Sakurai Sho is in this drama season. My only problem that I had was the the commercials started right in the middle of Arashi’s performance, cutting the Monster and Love Rainbow song off from Meikyuu Love Song. I also loved Arashi’s random trolling on Sho as he was being the MC of the show!
All in all, it was an enjoyable 3 hours! If you want to check out some of the performances, TokyoHive will most likely be posting them soon!
