Nail Salons and Nail Art in Japan

Getting my nails done in Japan is one of my favorite things to do. More specifically a manicure with nail art. It’s one of my little pieces of joy to see my nails nice and manicured and it makes me feel so put together in most situations. I first started getting manicures when I was a young girl, but it wasn’t until I came to Japan that I really did “Nail Art”. Even then, I didn’t do it on a consistent basis, but since I started working I find it a nice little splurge every month to get my nails … Continue reading Nail Salons and Nail Art in Japan

Japanese Fashion: EATME Harajuku Store Grand Opening – October 26th, 2014

On October 26th, I went to the grand opening of EATME, a brand by the famous Model Tsubasa Masuwaka. Tsubasa is best known for being a “Gyaru” model in POPTEEN and POPSISTER Magazines (although has graduated from both) and also has two cosmetic lines, Dolly Wink and Candy Doll. She is also a singer under the persona “Milky Bunny”. EATME is Tsubasa’s first clothing line and has been around since this past summer online at Runway Channel, but the first shop opened in Harajuku just last week. Johnny’s Talk: What To Wear To A Johnny’s Concert/ Event?

One of the hardest things for me to decide on when I go to a Johnny’s concert or event is: What should I wear? Now, I believe that fashion is very personal to everyone and what he or she chooses to wear is a reflection of who they are. Each person has their own style and what they like to wear and there is no right or wrong thing to wear to Johnny’s concerts! I personally like dresses and skirts and a more mature style of clothing, as well as when I go to Johnny’s concerts I don’t want to … Continue reading Johnny’s Talk: What To Wear To A Johnny’s Concert/ Event?

Japanese Fashion – Fall 2014 Coordinate #2

Hello everyone! I am back with another Fall Coordinate post, and this time is with a Fall Dress! This fall, another trend is vintage looking flower prints. I personally love flower prints on dresses so I was instantly hooked on this dress from the start just because of that. It’s another outfit from Noela, and can you blame me? They have amazing clothes! This particular dress I bought in their Autumn set Fair, which was a dress and a cardigan for 16,000 yen. I chose a navy blue cardigan with the dress for the set, which is not shown in … Continue reading Japanese Fashion – Fall 2014 Coordinate #2

Japanese Fashion – Mikimoto Pearls

Mikimoto is a prestigious Jewelry brand that is famous for cultured pearls and something that I have been coveting after for a long time! To me, this brand is a staple of elegance and has a long history. My mother has Mikimoto Pearls, and my grandmother had Mikimoto Pearls. When I was younger, I never had an interest in pearls and in fact, on a trip to China when I was 15 years old, my mother bought me some black pearls that are very rare and I wasn’t very interested at the time. Only since I entered into my 20’s … Continue reading Japanese Fashion – Mikimoto Pearls

This outfit is a Short sleeved collared top that is a sweat-type of material,  paired with a striped vintage-like midi skirt topped off with a set of cotton pearls.  I love navy blue and white, as well as red as an accent in the stripes of the skirt. … Continue reading Japanese Fashion – Fall 2014 Coordinate #1
